Make sure not to bring the headset out of the play area until you turn it off completely. While taking a break, just take the headset off your head. Then put it down in the play area until you come back.

To solve this issue, reset the headset by holding down the power button for 5-7 seconds. Then wait for a couple of minutes before you re-start the headset by pressing and holding down the power button one more time in about 3 seconds.
